Finally... a new post

Finally.. I am posting a new picture of our little man. We have been super busy the last several months. As many of you know my Gramma Gram was in a terrible car accident and broke many bones in her neck and had for a while, a halo. She has been through so much what with the surgeries, physical and speech therapy etc. We are really hoping to see her soon. From what my mom says she will be leaving the hospital to get more care and will be at Holy Cross in South Bend. The one picture is of her (the only digital I have- all the rest are printed) . From what I have heard she just passed the swallow test and can now eat and drink. Keep her in your prayers that she fully recovers. I love her so much.

Also,recently I was able to have a visit with my Dad. We haven't seen each other in quite awhile, and it was really nice to see him and for Grandpa Jim to be able to see the little man. The other picture is of him and the little guy. :) It was a nice visit- we took Aid to the park in the city.

Other big news- Ken and I have QUIT SMOKING! Yay!! It has been three weeks now and we seem to be over the worst of the cravings part. I don't remember it being so hard the last time I quit before I was pregnant with the little man. It is funny becuase Ken and I chew gum constantly and so now Aid chomps and pretends he is chewing gum too. It is amazing how much he imitates us- so I am super glad we quit. It is so nice to breathe!

Finally, Ken has surprised us with a trip to Hawaii this coming up weekend. It was supposed to be a surprise for Aidan's big birthday present- but I found out! He is so sneaky. He should know better- I figure everything out! HA! :) He is such a great guy :)

We will be flying to Kona on Sunday, and while there Ken plans to do some flying over the volcanoes. They have a little lagoon at the hotel that is supposed to have some pretty good snorkeling- so that should be lots of fun. Ken and I have been singing the hawaii five- o theme song all week. I will be sure to post lots of pictures when we get back.

Our little man is sooo cute!

As you can see I am a little excited for Christmas- I already have put up our tree and decorations in the house and started making Christmas cookies. Can you tell its my favorite holiday? :)

The pics of Aidan will be going out to pretty much everyone who has access to this blog in the next week or so. The other picture is of Aidan and his Auntie Elaine when she came over for Thanksgiving. :)

Its almost Christmas- YAY!

Even though our little man is too young to trick or treat this year I couldn't resist buying him a Halloween Costume. When I put this outfit on him I was almost on the floor laughing. It is the funniest and cutest thing I have ever seen. I really don't think he appreciated my efforts. LOL

Our Little Einstein!

Aidan has been changing sooo much lately! He tries now to get out of the bouncey seat, the crib, the swing; anywhere we put him actually. He wants to be mobile in the worst way. :) He is also starting to do some creeping/crawling where he crawls but uses his feet instead of his knees so he looks kind of like a little monkey. It is super cute. :)

The other thing that he does now is chew on EVERYTHING. We have to disassemble the mobile on his crib becuase we caught him chewing on the wires the other day that go down to the battery pack. How he got ahold of those is beyond me! I wonder if this is something he got from me- I was into everything as kid . When I was little I put a dime in the electrical outlet pretending that I was paying to ride on my bouncey horse (like the ride outside of the grocery store) and shocked myself. I so hope he isn't accident prone like his Mommy. HA! I have a feeling that we will have our hands full becuase he is curious about everything.

His two favorite toys are his baby einstein book and his toy plane. He gets especially annoyed if you take away his book. In his book it has mirrors in it and sometimes he talks babble talk to it. I'm pretty sure he thinks it's another baby.

Finally, our little man is getting HUGE. He has gained three pounds since July 25th and now is getting hair! Ken calls him "Spike" becuase he's got the Don King thing going on when he gets up from a nap. He is getting cuter by the day and is turning into a little chunk!

Marine World and Ken's Rafting Trip

Last weekend Grandma and Grandpa Willoughby were nice enough to watch the little man for us so we could go on a date to Six Flags Marine World. We are such big kids. :) I got to do the dolphin encounter (something I have wanted to do for ages). I got to feed and pet the dolphin. The feel kind of like rubber and are sooo cute! They are a lot smaller than I thought they would be up close.
Ken got to ride some of the rollercoasters- he went on some of them a few times in a row. One picture is of him waving to me from the last car. ( I didn't go on the big ones becuase the last time I went I almost lost my lunch- eek!)

The other pictures are of Ken's rafting trip with the boys this weekend and of the painting Aunt Jessica made for Aidan. The picture of Ken I think is hillarious becuase he has his feet all kicked up on the raft. He is the only person I know that can go over rapids all kicked back relaxed.
With the painting that Jess made if you look you can see that the path sign has Aid's name on it,the clock has the time he was born, the flag has a W on it for Willoughby and the hot air balloon has his birthday on it. Very cool. My sister is so talented. :)
